To implement the national, provincial, and municipal requirements for groundwater pollution prevention and control, and supervisory management, and to explore automatic groundwater monitoring, Guangzhou initiated the "2021 Groundwater Quality Assessment Point Water Quality Monitoring" project as a demonstration of groundwater environment monitoring and early warning.
This project employs standard 50-square-meter automatic groundwater quality monitoring stations. The monitoring parameters include basic water quality parameters, permanganate index, ammonia nitrogen, arsenic, hexavalent chromium, lead, cadmium, fluoride, cyanide, etc.
| Project Features
Utilizing professional well construction technology, multi-layer nested monitoring wells are built in a single borehole.
Disturbance-free sampling technology is employed to achieve automatic well washing and sampling for groundwater monitoring wells.
The project achieves "one borehole, multiple layers" of automatic well washing, sampling, and analysis for groundwater.
By monitoring over 20 indicators including hydrology, inorganic anions, nutrients, heavy metals, organic pollutants, etc., coordinated monitoring of groundwater with surface water and seawater is achieved.
Groundwater environmental monitoring integrates water quality monitoring, early warning, and pollution source tracing into a single pollution source early warning platform.
