Recently, the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences officially announced the winners of the 2023 Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, recognizing 59 outstanding achievements. The project "Key Technologies and Application of Nutrient Water Quality Target Adaptive Management in Lake and Reservoir Basins", submitted by BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., was awarded the second prize.


The Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award is the highest government award in China's ecological and environmental science and technology field. It is awarded annually to promote the development of ecological and environmental science and technology in China, fostering technological innovation, and reward units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of ecological and environmental science and technology research. This award is highly recognized and supported at the national level due to its scientific rigor, impartiality, and authority.

   
In this award-winning achievement, BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES, as the primary contributor, developed an integrated watershed nutrient water quality target monitoring and early warning technology system. This system, based on the project's innovative concept of adaptive management of nutrient water quality targets for lakes and reservoirs, encompasses "monitoring-simulation-evaluation". It includes a pollution source-river-lake/reservoir collaborative online automatic monitoring and early warning technology and equipment. Through the advanced High Performance Product Development (HPPD) process, it effectively managed multi-domain professional parallel development and multi-test principle analysis. Innovatively, it proposed the use of Six Sigma theory for quantitative analysis of test data, significantly enhancing the stability and reliability of the equipment. This accomplishment facilitates real-time continuous monitoring and remote control of water quality, real-time understanding of the water quality status of pollution sources, rivers, and reservoir water sources, analysis of real-time fluctuations in water quality, and intelligent detection of abnormal changes, providing timely warnings and forecasts.

   
Previously, BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES's micro-modular water quality online automatic monitoring system was awarded the second prize in the Environmental Technology Progress Award in 2019. Its micro-station water quality online monitoring system was included in the 2020 directory of key environmental protection practical technologies and demonstration projects. The system has been promoted and demonstrated in various provinces and cities, including Guangxi, Anhui, and Shandong, receiving widespread recognition and praise.
