The C310 Total Manganese Water Quality Online Monitor is an independently developed product by BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES, based on the formaldoxime spectrophotometric method for measuring total manganese content in water. In an alkaline medium, divalent manganese is oxidized to tetravalent manganese. This forms a brown complex with formaldoxime. This complex absorbs light at a certain wavelength, allowing for colorimetric determination at this specific absorption wavelength. The concentration of total manganese in water is calculated by measuring its absorbance. The method principle of the instrument complies with the national standard "Water quality - Determination of manganese - formaldehydeoxime spectrophotometry" (HJ/T 344-2007).
