The C310 Total Phosphorus Water Quality Automatic Analyzer is a product independently developed by BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. It uses spectrophotometry to measure the total phosphorus content in water. The method involves the digestion of the sample with potassium persulfate (or nitric acid-perchloric acid), which converts all phosphorus into orthophosphate. In an acidic medium, orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate in the presence of antimony salt to form phosphomolybdic acid. This is immediately reduced by ascorbic acid to produce a blue complex. The absorbance of this complex is directly proportional to the concentration of total phosphorus. The principle employed by the instrument complies with the "Water quality - Determination of total phosphorus - Ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method" (GB/T 11893-1989). The instrument meets the requirements specified in "The technical requirement for water quality automatic analyzer of total phosphorous" (HJ/T 103-2003). Interferences from arsenic and chromium in the water sample can be eliminated through reagent masking.
It is widely applied in river assessment sections, lakes, reservoirs/water sources, hydrology, and sea inlet monitoring for stationary construction station water quality online automatic monitoring.
