The C310 Total Nitrogen Water Quality Automatic Analyzer is a product independently developed by BESCIENT TECHNOLOGIES (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. It measures the total nitrogen content in water based on spectrophotometry. Method Principle: It involves the conversion of nitrogen-containing compounds in the sample into nitrate by an alkaline potassium persulfate solution at 120-124℃. The absorbances at wavelengths of 220nm and 275nm, denoted as A220 and A275 respectively, are measured using ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The total nitrogen content (expressed as N) is proportional to the corrected absorbance A, which is calculated using a specific formula. The method principle of the instrument complies with the standard set by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China. The standard is titled "Water quality - Determination of total nitrogen - Alkaline potassium persulfate digestion UV spectrophotometric method" (HJ 636-2012).


Interferences from chromium and iron present in the water sample can be eliminated by adding a masking agent. Depending on the complexity of the on-site testing conditions, an appropriate pretreatment system can be optionally equipped.

Application

It is widely applied in river assessment sections, lakes, reservoirs/water sources, hydrology, and sea inlet monitoring for stationary construction station water quality online automatic monitoring.
