Under acidic conditions, silicate reacts with ammonium molybdate to form silicomolybdenum yellow. This compound further reacts with 1-amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid to form a blue compound. The absorbance of this compound is measured at 610 nm, and the color intensity, which is proportional to the concentration of the substance being tested, is detected. After detection and calculation, the concentration value is obtained.
